Yes, I used to use windows

08/11/2023

Is it just me or do you too have hard time realizing this is 2023 and not 2022.
Anyways.

Allow me to share with you this story. It starts with a boy who had used WINDOWS most of his time or has only used WINDOWS.

Now this WINDOWS park didnt had many things to play but still, lets go through each.

The Slide

Now slides are fun, unless they get boring and yes they get boring pretty fast.

You can think of slides as getting you PCs started.

The Swing

Swing are perfect if you are bored (by climbing that freaking slide).

You can think of swings as playing the 3D pinball space on you PC.

The Merry-go-around

Now this is not meant for everyone. Only those who dare to bare the reward of a headspin are meant to go for a spin on it

You can think of this as installing stuff on your PC and not realizing how did you browser ended up having that toolbar

Unlike the other slides, you will find yourself in the need of someone to help you get a spin, Or in the terms of WINDOWS, you will need someone to help you remove that MyPlayCity toolbar from your browser.

Seeing you enjoy this, That person might let you know of something even better.

....Annnnd thats where it all starts.

The Linux Park

This isnt just a park, Its a different universe.
For real see it for yourself.

You see, Im not mocking WINDOWS in any way, Its just that we all had spend a good amount of our time using it that, using something else afterwards feels as if its just not right.

Anyways. Back to our very first visit to our linux park
The very first thing that you will be treated for sure is a old crappy looking pendrive.

Once you plug this bad boy in, There, There you have it
Your life will never be the same.

I can still vividly remember installing linux for the 10th time and still on the reboot see the windows screen. Ahhh... that freaking windows boot loader.

Every mistake that you will make here in the linux land will teach you something very important. You will know that the roots of our problems are our incapabilities to understand them.

Now it isnt that using linux will make you better at programming and stuff all of a sudden, For instance look at the following scenario

With One Product Manager, Three Senior Devs and One Intern are not able to know why isnt that background color changing. After 3 hours of code refactoring they figured out that the style.css was never linked!

Sure using VIM will make you fast, using i3 will make you look cool But the main thing is to explore.

Dont just sit all day doing dead end react.
If you had never used docker give it a try.
If you had never used Nginx give it a try.
If you had never used VScode (good) dont give it a try.
Just kidding!

And before you know you will be making a sudoku solver in rust just for fun.
